Here Is Where We Meet

Bath and Bristol Weekender, Bath, 2015

commissioned by Situations, Bristol

A sound installation that responded to the history and site of a disused Georgian open air swimming pool. Built in 1810 it was open to the public until the 1980’s when the council closed its doors. Due to reopen in 2018, the Cleveland Pools opened it doors to the public as part of this festival. Still in a disused state, the ghost of swimmers resonates through the place and the audio piece of voices and people swimming connects the present with the past.
