In Plain Sight (Miss Jenkins? - After Richard Wilson) was commissioned as part of Ffoto Cymru 2024. This intervention

into the historic collection (gallery four) at the National Museum Wales, resulted from a period of research with the museum’s collection, focusing on a series of twenty five X-rays from the conservation file for Dolbadarn Castle by Richard Wilson. Using the X-rays of a hidden woman underneath the painting, a photographic lightbox was created. The lightbox was placed back in the paintings original frame, and inhabits the paintings original position in the gallery. This work celebrates all the women within this collection. Thanks to Arts Council of Wales for funding this commission.
